The present invention relates to a sealed apparatus or apparatus assembly having a unit consisting of a pair of housings or members, which are made of material which permits a magnetic field to penetrate therein. The apparatus is a two-part, or dual-housed, unit and includes a magnet or magnetic field source arranged so as to provide for a magnetic field penetrating the inside of the unit. One housing or member is shaped to closely conform to the shape of a human head or skull. The housings or members are hollow and are formed from metal, having an internal diameter of approximately 1.75 inches. The magnets are of a rare earth, neodymium, composition.
The present invention is an improvement over the invention of U.S. Pat. No. 4,061,016 to Slater. The invention of that patent relates to a sealed apparatus or apparatus assembly that utilizes an improved magnet structure and which utilizes two differently magnetized magnets disposed in a dual-housed assembly.
